23 Jun 2017 Global AUM for collective investment funds hits €38.3trn
The value of assets in collective investment funds globally stood at €38.3trn ($42.68trn) at the end of May, following an increase in AUM of €696bn ($775.8bn), according to data published by Thomson Reuters Lipper.
Compared to a year ago, assets increased by nearly 13%, or $4.88trn, of which $1.15trn represents net inflows.
Bond funds attracted the largest share of net new money over the past 12 months, of some $670.7bn. Equity funds attracted a net $188.3bn, while money market funds saw $136.5bn in net inflows.
